Ofqual has today published a statement on assessment arrangements for students taking qualifications in the academic year 2022 to 2023.

Release of Advance Information for Ofqual Regulated General Qualifications

From Monday 7 February, students in Northern Ireland sitting exams with AQA, Eduqas, OCR and Pearson in summer 2022 have access to Advance Information to help focus their revision for GCSE, AS and A level exams, in order mitigate the disruption to learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guidance to centres for awarding Vocational Qualifications in 2021/22

CCEA Regulation has adopted the Ofqual Vocational and Technical Qualifications Contingency Regulatory Framework(VCRF) for the assessment and award of vocational and technical qualifications (VTQs) in Northern Ireland during 2021-2022. Ofqual has published guidance to centres for awarding VTQs in 2021/22.

CCEA Regulation 2022 Grading Approach

On 17 May 2021, the Minister announced that examinations would resume in the 2021-22 academic year with adaptations to CCEA qualifications. Today, 22 November 2021, examinations have commenced for the November series. CCEA Regulation would like to reassure centres, students and parents that it has taken cognisance of the grading approaches adopted by regulators in other jurisdictions and of the ongoing effects of the pandemic. Ofqual Announcements on Summer 2022

Announcements have been made by Ofqual in England today in relation to the GCSE AS/A level qualifications it regulates. These cover adaptations for summer 2022 and apply to AQA, Eduqas, OCR and Pearson qualifications, even if taken in Northern Ireland.
